Lab-grown diamonds are not mined, which means that they do not contribute to the environmental and human rights concerns associated with diamond mining.

Lab grown diamonds look exactly like natural diamonds. They have the same physical and chemical properties, including the same hardness, durability, and sparkle. The only difference between lab grown diamonds and natural diamonds is the way they are created. Natural diamonds are formed over millions of years deep within the Earth, while lab grown diamonds are created in a laboratory in a matter of weeks or months.

There are two main types of lab-grown diamonds: high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) diamonds and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamonds. HPHT diamonds are grown under extreme heat and pressure, while CVD diamonds are grown by depositing carbon atoms onto a substrate.
