Lab grown diamonds explained

Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds created in a lab that are chemically and structurally identical to natural diamonds. They are created in a controlled environment rather than mined from the earth.

High-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) synthesis: This process involves heating carbon under high pressure and temperature, which causes it to form into a diamond.Chemical vapour deposition (CVD): This process involves depositing carbon atoms onto a substrate in a vacuum chamber. The carbon atoms form into a diamond as they are deposited.

The two methods produce diamonds that are chemically and structurally identical. However, there are some minor differences in the appearance of diamonds created using the two methods. HPHT diamonds tend to be slightly bluer than CVD diamonds.
